Welcome to Avocet Barn, a superb retreat for families in search of a relaxing, idyllic spot - unwind, rest and reconnect with each other. Located in the pretty village of Binham, which is rich in history, this beautiful barn has been superbly and lovingly presented with great care and attention to detail; evident from the moment you walk through the front door. In keeping with its original structure, the accommodation boasts characterful beams, high vaulted ceilings, a large central brick fireplace and the finish is both stylish and social. Take time out to put your feet up with a book and soak up the glorious views from the open plan living area situated on the first floor. Gather around the central island in the kitchen after a fun day exploring, to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple together whilst the ‘chef’ cooks up a treat on the range cooker. The large dining area with interesting ‘moo’ dining chairs is a convivial eating space and a good spot for after dinner board games.
The sumptuous bedrooms are located on the ground floor, the master and bedroom 2 both have TV's and en-suite facilities and there is a separate family bathroom. The utility room housing washing and drying facilities, may be a useful place to wash out salty costumes, kick off your boots or wash muddy paws.
Being just a short distance from the gloriously diverse north Norfolk Coast, much of which is classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are numerous places to visit at a leisurely pace so the family can spend quality time together. Make new memories, the children will enjoy feeling the salty breeze on their face and the sand between their toes and don't forget to explore the sand dunes and pinewoods beyond the beach at both Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. Meander around interesting art galleries or independent shops, and for dining you are simply spoiled for choice. Taste the delights of locally caught seafood or visit one of the many fabulous gastro pubs – this area is oozing with them. Avocet Barn is a delightful holiday home for family gatherings and special occasions at any time of the year - one visit just may not be enough!

Binham is a beautiful, peaceful village retaining all the charm and character of a bygone age. The village has the remains of an early 12th Century Benedictine priory, where classical concerts are held throughout the summer and the whole area is steeped in history. There is also a good pub, local store and garage. The nearby coastline has numerous enchanting towns and villages dotted along it, notably the harbour town of Wells-next-the-Sea with its beautiful sandy beach backed by pine woods and the picturesque village of Blakeney, where narrow streets slope down to the tidal creek and offers sailing and beautiful coastal and marshland walks. The elegant Georgian town of Holt, just five miles away, is another lovely spot to while away the day with its mix of art and antique galleries, independent boutique shopping, café culture and more. The area also has some great restaurants, farm shops and pubs to delight the taste buds at any time of the day. A holiday in and around Binham will not disappoint.
