Blakeney itself is a treasure trove of wonderful things to do. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the coastal path and quayside are just a few moments’ walk from the barn. Sailing is available locally and there is even a Powerboat School if you want to give it a go! There are plenty of good places to eat in the village, art galleries and craft shops and a good local store. A treat at any time of the year is a trip to see the seal colony at Blakeney Point and catching crabs on the quayside is a happy way for the youngsters to while away their time. There are some stunning beaches nearby at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham – vast sandy spaces set under huge blue skies, the sense of tranquility is palpable, both beaches have great local cafés so when the fun is done there is somewhere to relax before coming back to the barn.
