Burnham Thorpe is a quiet village just a few minutes from the coast, removed from the busy seaside towns and coast road but still easily accessible to the sea, whether it’s the beaches at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea or the sailing at Burnham Overy Staithe with picnics on Scolt Head island or the seal colonies at Blakeney Point. It has a great playing field and play area for children in the middle of the village where you might see local cricket matches from time to time. There are walks you can take from the house in all directions to the coast, the Holkham Estate, Creake Abbey, Burnham Market or just around the village.
The area offers an extensive choice in gastronomic delights, excellent delicatessens and locally produced food from farm shops and local suppliers, an endless selection of pubs and restaurants in the area offering simple pub grub to more sophisticated restaurant dining. For the keen shopper, you will find a variety of boutiques and gift shops in Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-Sea and a bit further afield in Holt.

There is a small ‘seasonal’ pond which is often dry in the summer but there is some water during the rest of the year. Please ensure children are supervised at all times when in the garden.
Parking: Up to 5 cars on driveway. Roadside parking is unavailable due to the narrow country lanes.
Heating: Oil Fired Central heating. Open fire in the sitting room.
