Crab and Lobster Festival – located in Sheringham and Cromer, this weekend festival, held each May, is a riot of food, live music, art trails and Morris dancing!
1940’s Weekend – step back in time with this September festival based in Holt and Sheringham, linked by the Poppy Line steam railway. Expanding each year, visitors can join in and dress-up in vintage dress, or simply visit and watch what promises to be a marvellous celebration of our wartime and post-war heritage.
Folk on the Pier – titled ‘The Best Gig on the North Sea’, this weekend festival on Cromer Pier applauds the cultural offering of all things folk. Book quick, as it’s usually a sell-out.
Norfolk and Norwich Festival – although based mainly in Norwich, this globally-praised cultural celebration has expanded to venues including Felbrigg Hall in recent years. Covering two weeks, it is one of the country’s best and most recognised festivals. A reason to holiday alone.
Out There Festival – this International Festival of Circus and Street Art is over a decade old, and gets better each year. Based in Great Yarmouth each September, it’s a crazy and sensational riot of colour, performance and skills, and promises to blow you mind. You will never be quite the same again!
Maritime Festival – also in Great Yarmouth in September, this festival takes place on the historic South Quay. Expect live sea shanty music, demonstrations, lots of fun and historic ships to explore. Climb aboard m’hearties!
Festival Too – based in Kings Lynn each July, this not-for-profit, free festival is a line-up of well-known musical talent, and is funded by local businesses and strong crowdfunding support
Kings Lynn Festival – following on from Too Festival, this cultural town puts on an entertaining festival of music, theatre, history and more. Expect enriching talks, sensational orchestras and brilliant workshops.
Hunstanton Kite Festival – each August, the skies give way to a riot of colour and displays. Twinned with the Classic Car Rally, this festival promises to entertain you no matter whether to prefer to fly or stay grounded!
